Deloris Valdez Jarvis

Deloris Valdez-Jarvis is passionate about helping people achieve their potential, in whatever arena that may be. She is quick to encourage, believing success in life is everyone's birthright.

Deloris has also dedicated her life to protecting and empowering young people. Drawing upon her skills as a former broadcast journalist, news anchor and TV talk show host, she has given Millennials* a voice in her first book of a four volume series, GitNit Right with Millennials.

(The term "Millennials" refers to the group born in the years ranging from 1980 to 2000.)

Her love of young people and her passion to inspire them to walk in their greatness has been the driving force behind the GitNit Right project. Her experiences as a parent and teacher have led her to focus on the affirming messages of Millennials and share them with those who don’t always hear positive feedback from the young people in their lives.

Deloris is frequently called upon by the media to comment on Millennials and generational related topics and has had stories in newspapers and on radio and TV network news and talk shows. She speaks to student and adult groups nationwide including Rotary, Mothers of Preschoolers and various business associations. In addition, Deloris has spoken to countless school groups and major corporations such as Woodward Governor, Teledyne Water Pik and IBM.
